From Garage to 4th Ave
It started with a bag of green beans and a popcorn popper in Marcus's garage. Sara, a pastry chef tired of fine dining, wanted to make the kind of food she actually ate at home. They found a sunlit corner on 4th Ave, stripped it to the studs, and built The Roastery.
We roast every batch ourselves — small-lot, single-origin beans from farms we've visited in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala. Our espresso blend changes with the season. Our pastries are baked before sunrise.
Five years later, the garage popper is mounted on the wall, the regulars have their own mugs behind the counter, and we still can't keep the banana bread in stock past 10am.
